Dress Code

Combo 1 & Combo 2 Classes

In this class, the students have the most freedom to choose whatever dance attire they feel best in. It could be a fancy tutu or a simple workout pant and t-shirt - whatever makes your tiny dancer comfortable. 

Shoes: 

Ballet - pink or black leather split sole ballet slipper

Jazz - black leather or canvas jazz shoe

Tap - Black "Mary Jane" style shoe

Musical Theatre - pink or black leather split sole ballet slipper

Gym/Tumbling - Bare feet

Gymnastics/Tumbling

In this class, we ask that your dancer wear work-out style clothing or a leotard. Hair needs to be pulled into a pony tail (if it is past your shoulders). No hair bows or hair accessories.

Ballet

For all levels of ballet, your female dancer should wear a black leotard with pink tights and your male dancer should wear a black t-shirt and black male ballet tights. Both boys and girls are allowed to wear tight fitting black shorts or short thin black ballet skirts if they want. Hair should be pulled back into a bun.

Ballet Shoe: pink (girls) or black (boys) split sole leather ballet shoes

Jazz/Tap/Lyrical/Other

In all other classes, you can wear any style of work-out attire or dance attire. The attire needs to be appropriate and no body parts should become exposed at any time. JCEDA staff reserve the right to ask you to change if we feel your attire is not appropriate. 

Just make your best judgement as an individual :)

Shoes:

Tap - black lace-up style tap shoe

Jazz - black or tan leather jazz shoe

Lyrical - half sole lyrical shoe, nude or tan

Hip Hop

Comfortable, movable clothing - no jeans. Clothing should be appropriate for a family friendly atmosphere. 

Shoes:

Tennis Shoes - any style as long as they are clean and dry
